I offer the following services:

1. Psychological testing-This includes testing to clarify your child's diagnosis and to best understand what type of treatment would be most useful for your child.  I offer intelligence and achievement testing, assessment for autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, and more. Although some mental health providers do not like to "label" a child, it is my opinion that having an accurate diagnosis and being educated about that diagnosis is the most effective way to provide beneficial treatment. Imagine being seen by a medical doctor and being give recommendations for treatment without ever being told what is being treated.   My rate for psychological testing is $150/hour which includes the time administering, scoring, and interpreting the testing, and writing a report if necessary. I also offer ADHD and Autism evaluations for adults and psychological evaluations for bariatric and chronic pain related surgeries. 

 
3. Consultation-If your child has a behavioral or mental health issue that has not seen improvement because of current or prior treatment, I will meet with you to discuss your child's situation and make recommendations about treatment that should be more effective.  There are many children who have a secondary mental health issue in addition to their primary issue, and that secondary problem often hasn't been diagnosed or treated.  I can help clarify any potential issues and recommend a comprehensive treatment plan that should be more effective for your child and family. Although I am not a psychiatrist I am very familiar with the medications used to treat mental health problems in children and I am willing to consult with your family physician about possible medication options for your child. My fee for a consultation is $150 hour .

To give you a rough estimate of how much my evaluations would cost, a typical evaluation for Autism, ADHD, ODD, anxiety or depression would likely cost around $500. Those prices may vary depending on the complexity of your child's issues.   I am now in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and BC/BS of TN, United Health, Oscar Health, and Oxford. Most insurance companies have out of network mental health benefits which will significantly help lower the cost of my services since your insurance will reimburse you for part of the cost. I will be accepting a small caseload of lower income clients because I understand how difficult it is to find good mental health services right now.  Please contact me for a free 15 minute consult about your child.

 
2. Therapy-After your child has been accurately diagnosed, I will discuss with you the most appropriate type of treatment that I think will benefit your child.  Sometimes that will include ongoing treatment with me, and other times I will recommend other services that would be more beneficial such as occupational/physical therapy, ABA, or services through the school.  The services that I offer include cognitive behavioral therapy for depression, and anxiety, and other stress related issues, and parent training to better understand how to manage your child's negative behaviors. My rate for therapy is $115/hour, which is for a 50 minute session and 10 minutes to complete my treatment note.  I will be offering a parent training group one time a week to teach ways to manage your child's behavior and my fee for the group will be $50 per couple for a 90 minute group. That group will run for 6 weeks with occasional follow up sessions.
